Member for Hammersmith (Mr. Soley) on 26 July 1990, if his Department has updated figures on the number of properties owned and administered by his Department(a) empty for more than six months or (b) empty for more than one year; and what is the regional distribution of these properties.
§ Mr. ChopeAt 30 September 1990 the Department owned 2,339 residential properties acquired in advance of requirements for the trunk road programme. The Department's policy is not to leave properties empty if they are to be retained for six months or more and a tenant can be found. The table sets out the information that is available in the same form as the earlier reply.
