Ms. Harman

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list for each ambulance authority the number of journeys cancelled due to no vehicle being available in each of the last three years.

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list for 1989–90 for each ambulance authority the percentage of emergency calls where response time was within(a) 14 minutes and (b) seven minutes.

Mr. Dorrell

Figures for response times are collected centrally only at seven and 14 minutes for metropolitan authorities. These are given in table 1.

Data for response times for non-metropolitan authorities are collected at eight and 20 minutes. These are shown in table 2.
