§ Mr. DorrellNo specific guidelines have been issued on this matter. From 1 April, health authorities wishing to purchase limb lengthening for achondroplasiac children will be able to arrange contracts for this operation with hospitals or other units providing this service. General guidance on the purchase of services from 1 April to meet the health needs of local populations has been issued to health authorities.
