§ Mr. Archie HamiltonMy noble Friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Armed Forces has responsibility for energy efficiency within the Ministry of Defence.
He chairs the steering group for defence energy efficiency, which determines overall energy efficiency policies and sets and monitors energy savings targets. He represents the Department on the ministerial group on energy efficiency, which oversees the Government-wide 15 per cent. saving campaign. The Ministry of Defence has a long-standing record of energy saving achievement and we are determined that this should continue.
