§ Mr. Nigel Griffiths
To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will estimate the cost of refurbishing the Nature Conservancy Council headquarters at Hope terrace, Edinburgh; and if he will outline his Department's assessment of the future use of this building.

§ Lord James Douglas-Hamilton
The Nature Conservancy Council's Scottish headquarters were refurbished between September 1988 and April 1989 at a cost in the region of £600,000.
It will be for Scottish Natural Heritage to consider the future use of the building.
