HC Deb 13 March 1991 vol 187 c578W
Mr. Dunnachie

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if the Home and Health Department has completed its response to the report of the National Medical Advisory Committee of the Scottish Health Advisory Council on the provision of infertility treatment for childless couples; when it is proposed to publish its recommendations; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Michael Forsyth

The National Medical Advisory Committee's report on infertility services in Scotland is being considered by a Scottish Office Home and Health Department project team with the remit of developing the issues it raises, particularly in relation to how an assisted reproduction service for Scotland might be introduced, structured, organised and funded. The report will be published when these issues have been fully considered.
