Mr. Butterfill

To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will set out in the form of a table a list of the value of visible and invisible exports as a percentage of gross national product for each of the member states of the European Community and for Japan and the United States of America; and if he will also show the total value of such exports and the value of exports per head of population.

The table shows invisible credits as a percentage of gross national product for each of the member states of the European Community, Japan and the United States of America for 1989.

Information on the value of visible exports, gross national product and population is available in the IMF's "International Financial Statistics", which is held in the House of Commons Library.
