HC Deb 12 March 1991 vol 187 c465W
Mr. William Ross

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when the breakwater at the mouth of the River Dun was erected, when planning permission was sought, and granted; and whether any objections were made to his Department about this structure.

Mr. Hanley

The breakwater at the mouth of the River Dun was constructed in 1987. Planning permission for the breakwater was sought on 14 January 1988 and attracted six objections. This planning application was withdrawn on 27 April 1988. A new planning application was submitted on 16 January 1989. Four objections to this application were received. Planning permission was granted on 5 July 1989.
