HC Deb 11 March 1991 vol 187 cc420-1W
Mr. Andrew F. Bennett

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to his answer of 11 February,Official Report, column 309, what will be the capacity of the new pipeline from Goyt valley to Audenshaw; and what percentage of treatment capacity at Denton could be met by this supply at any given time.

Mr. Chope

The pipeline will be capable of transferring 44 megalitres of untreated water per day to the Audenshaw reservoirs. This will enable North West Water to maintain the existing 28-day emergency supply. Treatment capacity should remain the same.
