To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what the average A-level scores of teacher recruits were in 1980, 1985 and 1990.

3 Refers to the average A-level points score of those recorded on USR and FESR as having A-level entry qualifications. A-level points scores have been calculated in the customary way, by allocating 5 points for an A grade, 4 points for a B grade, etc.
