§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonAn assessment of future traffic growth on the M8 motorway is being carried out as part of the trunk and key principal road network review. Should plans for any major improvement schemes on the M8 be adopted in the light of the review's findings these would be the subject of detailed environmental assessments in the usual way.
