To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what duties are performed in the south Atlantic by HMS Endurance.

Mr. Archie Hamilton

HMS Endurance undertakes a range of representational, scientific and support duties, including assistance and support to the British Antarctic survey on an ad hoc basis.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he has any plans to withdraw HMS Endurance from her station in the south Atlantic.
