Dr. Godman

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many companies have gone into liquidation or have declared bankruptcy in(a) Strathclyde and (b) Scotland as a whole in each of the past three years; and in which areas of economic activity they were to be found.

The table gives the available information on Scottish registered companies for the past three years. There is no information on company liquidations for areas within Scotland. The term bankruptcy does not apply to companies.
