HC Deb 05 March 1991 vol 187 cc120-1W
Mr. Flynn

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make it his policy on the end of hostilities in the Gulf to investigate the extent to which non-lethal and lethal military technology sold by British firms to Iraq since 1979 was used by Iraq in abuses of the human rights of Kuwaitis or Iraqi dissidents since 2 August 1990.

Mr. Douglas Hogg

Such an investigation is neither practicable nor necessary.
