Mr. JacksonIt is estimated from the labour force survey that there were 695,000 men aged 60 and over and 604,000 men aged 60 to 64 in full-time employment in Great Britain in spring 1989. The latter group formed 4.4 per cent. of all men aged 16 and over then in full-time employment.
