§ Mr. DarlingTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will publish the guidelines decided by his advisory panel on those detained on the grounds of national security under the Immigration Act 1971 in relation to(a) the number of witnesses allowed, (b) the legal or other advisers who may be present at hearings and (c) other matters; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Peter LloydThe arrangements are those set out in the then Home Secretary's statement to the House on 15 June 1971 at columns375–77. Other issues affecting the conduct of proceedings are a matter for the chairman of the panel.
