§ Mr. McLeishTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment (1) how many claimants in each of the years 1986–87, 1987–88, 1988–89 and 1989–90 from Great Britain have changed their status from long-term unemployed to fresh claimant as a result of participating in programmes provided by the employment service;
(2) if he will list each of the programmes provided by the employment service which result in the long-term unemployed returning to the unemployment register as new claimants.
