HC Deb 28 June 1991 vol 193 c564W
Mr. William Ross

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will now produce a consolidation of fishery law in Northern Ireland.

Mr. Hanley

The Government would like to consolidate this legislation. However, the volume of Northern Ireland legislation which is currently being drafted, and which must be accorded priority, is such that no firm timetable for a consolidation of fisheries legislation can be set at this stage.
