To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will institute an inquiry into the hours worked by drivers employed by private bus companies in the Greater London area.

No. The hours worked by bus drivers in the Greater London area, as elsewhere, are governed by rules contained in part VI of the Transport Act 1968 and EC directive 3820/85.
