§ Mr. RedwoodThe European statute proposed by the European Commission on co-operatives, mutuals and voluntary organisations is still at draft stage. However, a large number of organisations in the United Kingdom are already aware of it. Should a formal proposal emerge from the Commission, the Government will consult widely among interested organisations, as is the normal practice.
