Mr. Winnick

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many documents requested by the solicitor acting for Guardsmen Povey, Hicks and Ray have been(a) withheld and (b) withheld in part; and if he will make a statement.

None of the documents which the solicitors have requested has been withheld. Their outstanding request for the 1984, 1985 and 1989 editions of the Batus range standing orders will be met if they are still available.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many special socks have been provided to Guardsmen Povey, Hicks and Ray; and if he will make it his policy to supply such special socks free on demand.
