However, there was an incident at Hinkley Point B, on 1 May, which involved the incorrect closure of a valve controlling fuel supplies to the gas turbines. These turbines provide standby electrical supplies to the site. There was no immediate danger and the error was found and rectified during a routine test. The Health and Safety Executive's nuclear installations inspectorate is considering what enforcement action should be taken.
