Mr. Robin Cook

To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will publish the names and addresses of all those mental nursing homes registered to take detained patients together with the names of the registering authority.

A list of mental nursing homes reported by district health authorities as being registered under section 23 of the Registered Homes Act 1984 to receive patients liable to be detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 has been placed in the Library.

To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will publish the names and district health authorities of all mental nursing homes or other establishments which are not hospitals where detained patients have been cared for during the past three years under contractual arrangements with health authorities.
