§ Mr. RedmondTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many appeals have been lodged by the South Yorkshire valuation and community charge tribunal in respect of the uniform business rate for 1990–91; and how many have been received to date for the current financial year.
§ Mr. KeyThe South Yorkshire valuation and community charge tribunal received about 13,200 appeals against entries in the 1990 non-domestic rating lists by the end of May 1991. Of these, 12,500 were received in 1990–91 and 700 were received in the first two months of this financial year.
