The Scottish Vocational Education Council (SCOTVEC) recently reviewed their procedures for validating courses. In May 1991 the council issued a paper setting out new procedures, which will come into operation in 1991–92, aimed at maintaining consistent standards while delegating maximum responsibility to centres.
