HC Deb 18 June 1991 vol 193 c81W
Mr. Pawsey

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport how often each year the M6 in Warwickshire is cleared of litter; and when was the last time.

Mr. Chope

Warwickshire county council, which acts as the Department's agent on this stretch of the M6, is responsible for clearing the motorway of litter as often as is required to maintain the standards laid down in the code of practice under the Environmental Protection Act 1990. The frequency of clearance in any location will therefore depend on particular circumstances.
