§ Mr. WakehamBetween 1979 and 1990, the United Kingdom's gross domestic product increased by 24 per60W cent. During this period energy consumption on a heat supplied basis declined by 3.6 per cent. or 0.3 per cent. a year. This combination represents a substantial and welcome improvement in energy efficiency over the period.
