§ Mr. Nicholas BennettMy right hon. Friend has no plans to issue such guidelines. Although nebulising equipment is not available on the NHS on the prescription of a general practitioner, it may be prescribed under the NHS by a hospital consultant if he or she considers it to be clinically necessary for the patient. Nebulisers are normally provided on loan free of charge for as long as is considered necessary.
