To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many representations have been made to him by school boards or parent-teacher associations which have been in favour of compulsory primary school testing.

To date, about 1,300 representatives including those from school boards and parent teacher associations have been received, covering a complete spectrum of views on testing.
