HC Deb 12 June 1991 vol 192 cc587-8W
Mr. Fearn

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he plans to introduce new initiatives to reduce the number of homeless people in Britain.

Sir George Young

All those accepted as homeless by local authorities are provided with accommodation. For the relatively small numbers who are literally homeless, we have allocated £96 million over three years to central London; and we are considering the possibility of extending the initiative to other parts of the country.
