HC Deb 10 June 1991 vol 192 c464W
Mr. John Browne

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what are the reasons for the delay in providing copies of the Batus range orders, the memorandum of understanding between the British and Canadian Governments and details of the exercise briefing orders, as they related to the digging of trenches in the impact area of a live firing range, to the representatives of Guardsmen Adrian Hicks, John Ray and Sean Povey, in pursuit of their claim of negligence under the Crown Prosecutions (Army) Act 1987; and if he will make the relevant documents available forthwith.

Mr. Archie Hamilton

A copy of the Batus range standing orders and of the exchange of notes on the training of United Kingdom armed forces in Canada (there is no memorandum of understanding) have now been sent to the solicitors representing Guardsmen Hicks, Ray and Povey. No other documents have been requested.
