§ Mr. Nicholas BrownTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will estimate the number of people with annual investment income over £3,000 in 1991–92 who are(a) over the age of 55 years, (b) women over the age of 60 years and (c) men over the age of 65 years.
§ Mr. Maude[holding answer 6 June 1991]: Available information indicates that approximately 500,000 men aged over 65 and 500,000 women aged over 65 have investment income over £3,000 in 1991–92. I regret that information for those aged between 55 and 65 is not separately available.
