Whether they have considered the case for the reduction and enforcement of maximum road speed limits and what are their conclusions.
§ Lord Brabazon of Tara:The Government are currently considering whether the present speed limits remain appropriate. The introduction of new camera technology allowed for in the Road Traffic Bill will assist the police in the detection of speeding offences and should also act as a deterrent.
