§ Mr. SainsburyMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State recently published revised departmental objectives. These include the objective of working for trade liberalisation worldwide. The Government's top priority in this field at present is the early successful conclusion of the GATT Uruguay round of trade negotiations. This will produce a strengthened framework of rules and disciplines for international trade and fairer and more open trading conditions for all participants.
