§ Mr. Barry JonesTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what action he proposes to enable road and rail traffic to have better access to the channel tunnel rail link.
§ Sir Wyn RobertsThe provision of rail links is a matter for British Rail, which published its plans for channel tunnel services in December 1989 as required by section 40 of the Channel Tunnel Act 1987. British Rail is now working up its proposals. Planned road improvements are set out in "Roads in Wales: Progress and Plans for the 1990s', and the 1991 supplement. Further major schemes to improve communications in north-east Clwyd and south-east Wales were announced on 14 May.
