§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonI understand from the chief constables of the forces concerned that the additional costs involved were £120,000 and £560, respectively. The level of resources provided for the policing of party conferences is an operational matter for the chief constable concerned in the light of all the circumstances including the threat assessment.
