§ Mr. AlisonThe commissioners have recently received a number of representions about further grants to the Church urban fund.
My reply to Question 34 on this matter also applies to the grants made by the commissioners direct to dioceses to provide suitable church buildings in priority areas. The commissioners have made grants totalling £8 million for this purpose over the past decade and receive representations from time to time for further grants to be made under this heading.
