§ Mr. ForthThe regional director of the employment service in Northern region under the aegis of the Tyne and Wear city action team, chairs a multi-agency group, which includes local authority and Tyne and Wear urban development corporation representatives. The group has been charged with determining the feasibility of a co-ordinated approach to the regeneration needs of the Meadowell estate in North Shields and has commissioned a study. Members of the group have received copies of the report prepared by residents and have attended a presentation given by the residents. The study team has been asked to take the report findings into account when preparing recommendations for consideration by the agencies involved.
