To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what percentage of Her Majesty's Government's expenditure on defence is spent on electronic systems.

Government estimates exist only in respect of MOD expenditure placed with the electronics industry in the United Kingdom. I refer the hon. Member to table 2.5 in volume 2 of the 1990 "Statement on the Defence Estimates".
