§ Dr. MawhinneyI understand that, up to 3 July, the cost of the Stevens inquiry has been £868,480. As is normal for such inquiries, the Police Authority for Northern Ireland is meeting the cost.
§ Mr. William RossTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many persons were arrested as a724W result of the Stevens inquiry; how many have been charged; how many have been brought to trial; how many of those tried have been found guilty; how many have been released from custody and of them how many are on bail; and how many are still in custody.
§ Dr. MawhinneyI shall write to the hon. Gentleman as soon as possible.
