§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyMaternity services liaison committees continue to be an important forum both for obtaining professional agreement on the operation of local maternity and neonatal services and for representing the views of the consumer.
At the end of 1988, all district health authorities providing maternity services had set up a maternity services liaison committee. This was in line with the good practice guidance set out in the reports of the Maternity Services Advisory Committee.
