§ Mr. Heathcoat-AmoryThe need for additional capacity by 2000 is uncertain and will depend upon a number of factors including the future demand for electricity and commercial judgments on the economic life of existing plant. A range of scenarios for net capacity changes is provided in Energy Paper No. 58 (table 4.9) published in January 1990 a copy of which is available in the Library of the House. The scenarios cover the period 1990–2005.
