§ Mr. EggarBetween them, the further education funding councils and local education authorities will continue to have a duty to secure the provision of the full range of further education. Governing bodies of schools will have a new power to provide education for part-timers and adults. Our proposals are intended to ensure that there is a coherent pattern of provision which is readily accessible to local communities.
