§ Mr. HeseltineSince the publication of the White Paper "This Common Inheritance" in September 1990, the Government have taken a wide range of specific measures to encourge business to take environmental considerations into account, most notably the introduction of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, which provides a strong regulatory framework for industry to play its part in protecting and enhancing the environment.
