To ask the Prime Minister what are the sizes of the total committed and target expenditure by Her Majesty's Government for the next financial year on(a) the environment, (b) overseas aid and (c) defence.

Table 4.4 of the statistical supplement (Cm. 1520) sets out the latest plans for central Government expenditure on environmental services, overseas aid and defence in 1992–93. Data on local authority plans for expenditure on environmental services in 1992–93 are not available.
