To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what finance Her Majesty's Government are making available to action team inner city economic and environmental initiatives.

Mr. Key

The eight city action teams co-ordinate the Government's programmes for the inner cities within their areas. We have provided £8.1 million this year for their special budgets, to promote employment, training, enterprise and environmental initiatives.
