HC Deb 18 July 1991 vol 195 c237W
Mr. Doran

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the amount of extra funding which has seen provided to each health board in Scotland to meet the cost of publicity for national health service reforms; and what criteria is applied to the expenditure of these funds.

Mr. Michael Forsyth

[holding answer 17 July 1991]: Each health board has been provided with additional assistance to meet the cost of implementation of the NHS reforms. There is no separate allocation for publicity. The deployment of these resources is a matter for individual boards but I regard the use of funds to provide information about the reforms as entirely appropriate and necessary.
