To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how much compensation was paid to farmers in the Dartmoor national park in each of the last seven years as a result of the firing of live ammunition in the national park; and if he will make a statement.

Compensation is payable to registered commoners whose grazing rights within the Dartmoor training area are affected when live firing takes place. Over the last seven years the amounts agreed to be paid as a result of live firing are as follows:
