To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the current level of public expenditure in Scotland expressed as an amount per capita.

Data on identifiable general Government expenditure per capita in Scotland in 1989–90, the latest year for which data are available, is given in table E5b of appendix E of the "Statistical Supplement to the 1990 Autumn Statement", Cm. 1520.
