To ask the Secretary of State for Energy if he will make a statement on the progress of the construction of the Sizewell B nuclear power station.

Mr. Wakeham

I am pleased to say that progress of the construction of the Sizewell B project is now about eight months ahead of the committed 72-month programme and remains within the estimated cost to completion.
